Hi I am about to sign up for a career with the royal corps of signals as a communications systems operator. I would really appreciate if you could tell me how you have found the corps and some background information aboutrecent tours i.e Iraq etc as the my recruiting officer was avoiding telling me too much. would be very grateful if you would reply
thanks ryan

Hi Ryan, I tried to reply by PM but the msg bounced back. So I will post here for you.

I would suggest you pay a visit to the Signals Website, in particular look at the following page:

http://www.army.mod.uk/royalsignals/index.htm

It would be unfair of me to comment on today’s Royal Sigs because there have been so many changes. But I will say if I had my time over again I would do it all again. However what has been great for me may be hell to someone else.

A trip to your local Signals TA centre may prove useful.

Best regards, And good luck

Hi, do 55 Sign Sqdn still reside in Aintree after moving from Grace road. I hear that they have re-unions. I have not been in that area for over 20 years after, I was on the honour guard that opened the 'new' barracks. I just noticed 'Mo' and John Stanson and I will be back in the UK the middle of May and would really like to catch up with some of them.
