![]() Any software that can ‘analyze’ data that is obtained from medical images is referred to as medical image analysis software. Analysis can take the form of aiding diagnosis, comparing images between patients or within the same patient at different time points to assess the progress of disease, and evaluating prognosis. In conjunction with the improvement in imaging technology, great strides are being made with regards to the analytic ability of medical imaging software, in the effort to create software capable of independently detecting clinical anomalies in medical images.
