For me, this takes the technique a bit too far! I find those haloes distracting. I think HDR works best when it enhances the realism of a shot - I'm not so sure when it produces unreal images.

Each to his own. I like this effect in some situations. But as with everything else the "tools" for one job might not be the best tools for another job :-). Right now I'm just playing around with HDR... Learning when to use it and when not to.
