The metallic emerald-turquoise blossom is perhaps the most unique of all the blossoms I have ever photographed. It may take up 100 years to bloom, then dies. This exotic flower is a bromelia.

Thanks Fiz, an "Awesome" from you is a great comment ! However, its the flower, I just happened to be able to be there at the moment and by sure luck, got the pix. Now and then that happens.

Thanks BJW, that's the way it came out of the camera, indeed the orange and blue turquoise colors are very odd.

Wow, a really very unusual bromelia! Colour scheme of our Kingfisher birds... I never saw one like this!

I dont know if it is great, but I submitted one of my most recent attempts at them to Bettys BBB&B so you might get across it easier. Not easy to catch those guys for as they have no roots like bromelians, they can get away fast. LOL
There are not many living things in shiney turquise and jaspis colours in the world, but they are all so striking....
