![]() How Does a Jaw Crusher work?
Different jaw crusher models will perform slightly differently, however their operation is the same across the board. Jaw crushers can be used for crushing huge rocks or any other material. The stationary breaking surface is fixed that is mounted in a V-shaped configuration. The swing jaw, that is moveable and pushes against the stationary plate, puts pressure on the feed material. The space at the bottom of the jaw plates aligned in V is called the output gap which dictates the size of the crushed material that comes from the jaw crusher. The crushed rock is held in the jaws until it is small enough to pass through this gap. |
