Yes a toe in the water is exactly right. I'm wondering just how much longer this site will last :~) I'm not overly impressed so far, bu it may well be the only choice and needs a chance. Maybe we can build a little community that evolves into something better. Good to see you here too ~~~ All the best ~ Nick
My hunch is that it could last a long while yet.
The administrators expressed surprise at the turn of events at ip and say they are willing to listen to suggestions for change to reflect the expectations of ex Pano and ex ip members. They also say that this site is just a hobby; a sideline to a very profitable video/conference business. But there should be no reason why it couldn't be uplifted to suit new users. And despite the fact that it is currently run by a skeleton staff, they are amenable to giving it a higher profile within their set-up, but that programming changes take resource and skill and are easy to get wrong, so we shouldn't expect immediate wonders! Nevertheless they listened to our gripes about chapcha (or whatever it's called) and have already been trying out alternatives, just to suit us! So I will persevere for the timebeing and await changes!
