The Super Bright Life Lantern is powered by four (4) ?D? batteries (not included) or you can use a 6V AC adapter (not included) Installing Batteries: * Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the Lantern. * Remove the battery compartment cover by rotating it in a counter-clockwise direction. * Remove the battery housing and insert 4 D batteries, making sure to match the polarities (?+? and ?-?) as indicated in the battery housing. * Replace the battery housing, making sure to match up the flat side of the housing to the flat side of the inside of the lantern. * Replace the battery compartment by rotating it in a clockwise direction. Optional AC Power: To prolong the life of your batteries, you can choose to power the Lantern using an AC adapter (not included). Plug one end of the AC adapter into the Lantern, and the other end into any standard wall outlet. How to Use: * To turn the Lantern on, simply locate the dial on the front of the Lantern and turn clockwise. * To use the dimmer option, turn the dial until you have achieved the desired amount of brightness. * Turn the Lantern off by the dial counter-clockwise until the lights turn off.
