I think everyone is proud of their flag, and mine in particular, have the same colors as the sky!
I'm very grateful for the kind comments you always makes on my photos. ;)
Regards
Gabriel
Many bavarians seem big on detouring the issue by being proud of the state rather than the nation, flying their white and blue everywhere, sometimes in conjunction with the black, red and gold of the nation, but more often just without....
Myself.... dunno. I am the kid of displaced people from different parts of the former "reich" for a long time not inside germany any more, a girl and a boy who got stuck in bavaria after WWII and married, having very little love for the lokals and their traditions. And I lived most of my adult life not there, but always had sort of a homebase, obligated to visit often until now. But that flag, it is for many also just a decoration symbolizing the home of certain cliche things. It belongs to oktoberfest, prezels, weisswust sausage, ompahpah and jodeling and all that more than to have anything to do with my person and any personal feelings I guess.
Now, according to my passport, I belong into baden-wuerttemberg, that means as a voter on state level. The state flag there is gold and black and 3 lions in a blazon. But here they seem not so much into state flag colour decorations for private homes, and nobody uses that as print for paper napkins and paper cups at every grill event like the bavarians their blue and white rhombes. :o)
I can see that Germany is a country that has the flags as symbols of regional tradition, beyond which we all know with the colors black, gold and red.
In our country, we are all behind the colors you see in the photo.
Thank you again!
Sincerelly.
Gabriel
