You're going to hate me, but I think the original version had some better features than this one, especially the contrast in the leaves. On the other hand, this version does have better shadow detail. So I personally would create a hybrid image, taking the leaves from the first, and the shadow detail from this second version.

I would say the contrast in the leaves is better but the background, shadow side of the building should be just a little(!) darker. Although I like this image.
We will nobody hate. We will learn from each other.

I am with Stevie , take the leaves from the first one and the background from the second version. Then the difference between the twig and the wall will pop out.

@StevieB: Ger is right, I do not hate You, I only hate Mr. Bush or the chinese regime, but that's something completely different.

Ok, now, I studied both versions again. I decided that You are right and version 1 was better. But I'm running out of time now to do more work on it.
