There are not a lot of Middle Eastern food restaurants in Taipei, for sure, so I was happy to get my hummus fix at Sababa Pita Bar, a small little cafe with Middle Eastern decor, pictures, and food.

I tried the Plata Sababa, Tasting Plata (which is a sampling of all the platas: Plata Sababa, Hummus Tel Aviv, and Moroccan Hummus), Falafel Pita, Moroccan Burger Pita, Egyptian Cigar appetizer, and baklava dessert. I come from Seattle, USA where the world drawing job opportunities have created a multi-ethnical restaurant experience; Seattle has plenty of good Middle Eastern restaurants, authentically delicious pitas, and top of the line hummus to be bought at Trader Joe's, a very popular organic supermarket chain. So I know what authentic and excellent pitas and hummus tastes like.
