The guide warned us that this is the most haunted part of the castle and that cameras have been known to malfunction after photographing this corner. It was only when I looked at the image at home that I noticed the number of tortured faces that can be visualised on the wall. I know that the brain is wired to find faces in shapes, but I can see none at all when I rotate the image upside down, yet at least ten the right way up.
