Really nice. Is this a single photo? I cannot imagine where the cloud layers are relative to each other and where this black border at the top comes from.

It actually is a single picture, but I did some extensive contrast enhancements on the image. The black border at the top simply is a darker area in the clouds that became black because of the increased contrast.
