Even more confusingly, in Britain many people use Fahrenheit when it's hot and Celsius when it's cold.

e.g. "It's seventy in the shade" / "Tonight temperatures will drop below zero"

in canada it is all celsius all the time. we are never taught anything else.

we don't measure ourselves in meters and weigh ourselves in kilograms though.

that would be ridiculous.

In Argentina it's Celsius only, and people are measured and weighed in metric units. Nothing weird about it.

Here in NZ, temps are always in C, but some people still use feet/inches, particularly in craft & building contexts. It can get confusing for this ex-pat American who only learned the metric system in elementary school and then never used it regularly again. I still find myself mentally converting some numbers.
