Har Ki Doon is a beautiful valley situated in Uttarkashi District of Garhwal region on the base of Fateh Parvat in Uttrakhand state. Har ki Doon is mesmerizing as above are azure blue skies, and on your sides, are a dense forest of chestnut, deodar, and sycamore. The hills gave way to mountains, and the mountains to giants until the valley opens into the cupped palm of Har Ki Doon, the “Valley of Lord Krishna”.

Har Ki Doon valley trek is the trek where you trek along the Thamsa River to Har Ki Doon valley. Since the trekking trail isn’t treaded upon too often, birds and animals thrive in this region. One can spot langoors near Puani Garaat. Black bears, wild boars, and Barasingha are few of the other animals you can spot if you’re lucky. Golden eagles and massive Himalayan griffins also live here. The colourful Himalayan Monal, the state bird of Uttarakhand, thrives in the forests here.

Har Ki Doon Trek is suitable for all the age groups, from children to elders are smitten by the natural beauty of Uttarakhand. Har Ki Doon valley is also considered as the base point for several mountaineers who wish to travel to other Himalaya peaks. Despite being a low altitude valley, having a maximum elevation of 11,700 ft.
