I feel I should understand more what this image is about, but unfortunately I don't. Could you explain the significance of the stones that are writing and photographs?

Hi! Thanks for your interest!

It is a memorial for the Scholl-siblings, Sophie and Hans Scholl, who belonged to a group of young people trying to form an opposition against the Nazis in 3rd Reich.

This place is in front of munich university, where they tried to distribute flyers with criticism against the nazis.

On these stones in the pavement you see the original texts which were printed on the flyers.
Sadly, they were betrayed and executed (being in their early 20s) for their braveness.

Thank you FrauFeli. I had an idea that this was connected to anti-Nazi campaigners, but I didn't know any details.

Thanks for explaining the significance of this image, albeit that the significance is a sombre one.
