This is the story of these little memorials, which I think are a great idea. I like that they remind of the murdered people in third reich in the actual place where the people have lived.

The article is not that clear, but the idea is that the nowaday residents of the house take part in the project by doing the research work for when and where the people were murdered. When names and dates etc. are veryfied, the resident can donate money to insert the stone.
