✎ Today this building is home to the elegant restaurant Cipriani’s, but, beginning in 1923 it served as the midtown branch of the Bowery Savings Bank. With its Romanesque arches and pillars, it’s a true cathedral of commerce. Both the exterior and the interior of the bank building are designated New York City landmarks (1996).
