Sonja... Unfortunately, not that old.... Superstorm Sandy wiped out 90% of the very old trees in the park a few years ago. The nasty nor'easter that followed a week later -- while the trees were still in full summer foliage --- wiped out a bunch more. There are very few trees older than 50 left in the big park. No more than a dozen of the majestic large oaks remain =(

Autumn is here, and most lovely. No so in Arkansas -- yet.

Same in the UK, Many trees felled in the superstorm of 87 and many more went in the 2 mega-storms of 1990.
In Madrid, still summer (30c) - no sign of autumn yet!
