One could go mad over what is a Pelargonium and a Geranium ! As if that wasn't enough, now to all the new variety . While both of these pictures are great I see a great difference, and I believe the to are not the exact same.

Marvin.... The main difference between a true Geranium & hybrid Pelargoniums is hardiness & flower form. True Geraniums are perennial, Pelargoniums aren't.

Both Regal Geranium shots are of true P. Domesticum specimens. They've been hybridized all over the place in recent years so there is much more variety in them than there used to be.

Thanks Fiz for the info, they are all beautiful, and believe it or not, I love the smell of the crushed leaves (fragrance - if one could call it that)

Marvin.... The uniquely Geranium scent to the leaves isn't as strong in the Regal variety. Their leaves have a slightly diff't texture & are not as thick as typical Pelargoniums. The foliage is kind of like a cross between true Geraniums & the Pelargonium hybrids.

Anyway... My mom is a fan of the scent of Geranium leaves, too.
