Tom's Creek Trail
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Delaware Water Gap Nat'l Recreation Area, Pike County, PA. Full spectrum color, high definition photo… ✍ Most of the trail winds within a Hemlock forest with patches of Rhododendrons with a smattering of Beech & Maple saplings in the understory. There are a few place where the forest changes composition completely --- going to large sections of Maple & Beech trees with an occasional Oak or two. It's really awesome to hike through because you can literally round a bend in the trail and end up in a completely different forest =) This particular section is the most vibrant & colorful in autumn. Here, the Beech trees dominate & the Maples play second fiddle..... |
