This is a nice little courtyard in my town with a nice little closed of restaurant and things. And this is the way out to the council flats, and at the other end is the main road. It's a false atmosphere. I'm experimenting with borders as you can see.

& yes the borders look nice
and to confess, i like better the sites without borders, the more elements, i think, the easier you can go wrong... but in your case, with the nice blue/gray background color & the whole feel of it, i feel, the borders go well
& here i left you a long comment, as i feeling wearing out the last traces of caffeine :)
