Black tea comes from the same leaf that makes green tea and oolong (Camelia sinensis), though it is completely oxidized before it is fired, which gives it a stronger flavor. Black tea is also versatile and can take flavors, like you find in an Earl Grey. The strength of the tea is determined not only by how the tea is processed, but also by the region it is grown.
