What Is the RGB Code?
The RGB code is an additive model in which blue, red, and green are added together in different ways to produce a wide range of color values. The name of this model comes from the first three additive primary colors; red, blue, and green. These are represented as three sets of numbers, each representing the combination of red, blue, and green together, or red, blue, and green together, etc.
There are two different types of these codes. Some monitors to produce their own independent codes which are used for certain effects, such as displaying the video signal in black and white. Other monitors may be configured to use a standard RGB code which will produce the effect you want. It is also possible to configure your television and monitor to use the same code or use a combination of them depending on what you need.
Using the RGB code is beneficial for computer hardware and software, as well as for television use. If you have an LCD TV, you will be able to set the color settings to either a standard RGB code or a separate code for the R, G, B, and D elements of your TV to produce the result that you desire. These codes can be useful for creating different effects in a single frame of television output. For example, by using the red, blue, and green separately you can create an image that has a very bright appearance and a lower contrast, or if used in combination you can use different colors to produce a darker effect. Most video monitors will enable you to change the RGB codes so that you can use this option, but you may have to purchase a new TV if yours does not have this feature.
