Looks very yummy. Cale, sprouts and 'shrooms?

Algae inside??? But it is not black like the outside of sushy rolls and looks like plucked cale Must be some other algae?
I know the term Miso from the asian aisle at the superstore and cooking shows but never even looked into what this really means I have to admit. We had a soup dish at a Japanese once, but I am not really sure what it was, as it was soup of the day and in a dutch airport. It was mostly delicious but the weird meat part -- how it came in one single lump which in a soup not served with cuttlery but in an XXL fountain drink cup I thought as rather impractical. :o)
Anyways, this here reminds me of classic western cale based soups in looks enough I will have to cook one soon again, but not at all of the funny japanese soup house adventure....
