It's a kibbutz not town. :)
And my kibbutz is a first kibbutz in Israel.

I am sorry, I was under the impression it would be a town or muncipality in status and not a kibbuz any more since 2007?

I don't know much about how you folks define your comunity and in which way the term is protected, but I thought a kibbuz is a certain way of rural comunity all without private posessions or jobs with different wages, and as you are now living differently did the status not change?

It is a way of rural community but with private possessions and also kibbuts possessions and also jobs with different wages. Some call it a new kibbutz. :)

Well, the documentary subtitle after the reform was "Degania -- The First Kibbutz Fights Its Last Battle" so all the people not knowing much details (not even the documentaries full content, just international culture news segments talking a minute or so about it) will conclude that it afterwards was something else now....
You folks should have told Mr. Rubin to avoid such missunderstandings if you care about the world thinking of it as kibbuz and not as former kibbuz. ;o)
