Can be very handy.... That's quite a fancy looking one =) We had a "cheapo" one at our vacation place in the Poconos to allow for the hot water to last a person through a 7-10min. shower -- maybe if it'd been a fancier model a hot shower coulda lasted longer ;)

This is a 1.5 gallon per minute. We are not allowed to sell our house, in this county, without low-flow fixtures, and toilet. The realtor asked me to go down and get one at the water company, and then take a photo and send it to him so he could sign off on it. It's all silver in color, but the flash made it change color on the top. It looked kind of cool, so I took it into post and spiffed it up a little. Nothing like good headshots, I always say.

Ours had a little lever at the top of it so one could kill the water while soaping up or shampooing, for instance, without actually turning off the faucet.... At first thought you wouldn't think that would make a difference until you consider how much water can be wasted getting just the right temp. for your shower... Switching off the shower head was equivalent in effect to turning off the tap without loosing the perfect mix of hot/cold one had going for their shower. Handy =) Well, for the most part it was.... Finding that little lever with closed eyes, trying to keep shampoo out of one's eyes, could be a little tricky ;)
