Why thanks, Sonja. I mixed them myself. Grin. Interesting comment, though. There must have been about a thousand gulls there, and they seemed to mostly segregate themselves into the white ones and the dark ones. There were an enlightened few who paid no attention to the groupings.

I talked to them as I walked into their midst, and they moved six or eight feet away but didn't fly. Soon I was surrounded by them. Then, suddenly, for no reason that I could discern, they all took flight at the same time.
