Next thing I knew, my lens was in his mouth.

Looks a bit odd for a ram. Come they now also in hornless like eves?

Fizgig. I think the Nikor lenses are bitter.
Why the long face, is something you say to a horse!

Sonja. I think this is a ewe.

Yes, usually to a horse.... But it can apply to other critters, too ;) If the shoe fits 'n' all that....

Well, you refered to "his" mouth so I thought you know your sheep races.
It is also remarkable as a girl sheep, white but not wooly from at least behind the ear, obviously everywhere neat and shorthaired, but much finer and shorter than a mouflons coat. If Mr. Bigglesworth was a barncat, this might be the sheep to match.

I wasn't raised around sheep, so I didn't relate to your remark at first. This animal was climbing up on the fence and just acting bousterous in general. Male behavior, for most animals. It's whole body was smooth. It put it's head right in my face to say hi. (Rammed it's head right in my face). Butt it must have been a female... Thanks for the correction.

Sheep, when raised with proper humane care are actually very friendly inquisitive animals. Quite playful, too.... The behavior you describe sounds very much like that of an animal raised with lots of human contact and interaction -- more like a pet than a future meal. The head butting behavior is that of a very tame sheep looking for some attention -- usually in the form of food, but a very, very tame sheep would be looking to petting like a friendly dog or cat. It's most common for ewes and lambs to be that tame....
