Agreed, Fizgig. Unfortunately, If you went through it too fast, you would fall right into the coy pond!

Now that's classic.... A Koi pond behind a wooden gate any Japanese Garden would be proud to have =) Awesome! And, hey, the heat index here is 105˙F, so I wouldn't mind "accidentally" falling in a Koi pond right about now ;) I'd even bring Koi sticks to appease the fishies in the "unlikely" event I fell in =P

I know you appreciate good architecture. Fizgig. But have you ever seen a fence with double drip edges? After you get out of the coy pond, you could sit and dry off on one of the four foot long cut granite blocks which line the bottom of the front wall like a traditional Japanese tea house. There is about a four inch space between the slab tops and the wall bottom. They anchor the building, and make it "float" at the same time, while providing seating along the pond. You could put a Thai stick in your Koi Stick, but the beauty and serenity of the scene is pretty overwhelming.

Being something someone made themselves, I'd say it's unique.... Very beautiful & masterfully crafted no doubt....
