When this first appeared, the neighborhood kept it pretty full, but it has, sort of, hit the skids, lately.

It is definitely the sad and hidden truth -- especially in America & other "wealthy" nations that they waste all these resources trying to help the poor in every other corner of their world except their own backyards. Like shipping resources to all these other impoverished peoples will make the problem in their own countries magically disappear. Meanwhile the rich are so far removed from reality that the money they obscenely throw around on useless things just to show they have money could feed and clothe a dozen families for a year -- or at the very least provide salaries that the people who work for them can actually live on. It's hard to say when or how or why it happened/happens but humanity has really lost its way.... Sadly, those who suffer the weight of struggle and poverty are growing in number, while those who prosper are getting fewer and further between. It is, sadly, the formula for revolutions and downfalls of nations. The divide between the "haves" and the "have-nots" have a tipping point.... The annals of history -- historic tragedies displaying the worst humanity has to offer -- are replete with the warning signs.... But, I guess folks are too busy texting and taking selfies to take note....
