Three and a half years ago, a local college professor bought the lot next to my place hoping to build a house there, but never proceeded with his plans farther than cutting some 4x6's for some stairs going up the hill. That was the last we saw of him. Last week I called him up and told him, "The inevitable theft of your stair materials has not yet occurred."
A better designer than carpenter, his wood stacking skills have not gone unappreciated.
