Thank you Cornelia for YS. Yes, unfortunately a great part of this city has been destroyed...Just 8 years ago Syria was a stable secular republic, with few beggars on the streets of its cities, very tolerant of all religions, 60% of the students in the university were women, with a spectacular architectural heritage, a wonderful gastronomy, etc. And now, a cruel civil war is destroying everything ... It is very sad indeed. Best wishes.

It is hard to remain indifferent. It is also almost more difficult to see great shots such as this showing how it was than to see the current horrific news reportage.
