I installed the Sage 50 software and then opened the database. I went over to another computer opened up Sage 50 and then pointed the new location to the new workstation share. I received an error. I double checked that I had ports 13531, 13540, and 13541 open on the new workstation even though I had the firewall turned off.I want to allow one or more users to access my Sage 50 data files to this Windows 7 machine (server). Check the firewall and/or antivirus for blocked Sage 50 processes, if there are any, give them full access. For Windows XP users, after the firewall/antivirus has been configured properly, if the sample company is still not working, most likely there is a problem with the Microsoft .NET Framework.pen the Control Panel then Programs & Features. Right-click Sage 50 Accounting and select Uninstall. Open the latest Sage 50 installation folder (usually has the year in it). During the Sage 50 installation, Sage 50 will offer the choice to automatically update your firewall.See KB 86756 "Sage 50 Accounting 2018 System Requirements" in company file from server to local PC; On the server: Disable firewall. Are you sure it is your firewall causing the problem?
