A spider (picture upside down)

I like the face with the big brown eyes and black nose, the brown beard on the yellow jacket. It has a furr head in grey-black. And it is smiling. There is a spiderman-symbol on the lower belly.

Can you see it??

I saw a picture (perhaps the same one) on the Coast to Coast Website and have been trying to identify the spider ever since. Can anybody tell me exactly what kind of spider this is?

I just know the German name: Kreuzspinne, but they have different subspecies as well.
Maybe get a book in the library or ask a spider forum?
