But the lower half of the picture on the other hand seems somewhat lacking detail. The tonal range seems narrow. I could be wrong here because I am using my low-quality laptop now.
Well, there is detail in the grass but none in the telephone poles and some of the pine trees. Unfortunately, there was no detail in the color image in those areas, but this was a picture my son took while in Europe last summer and I just love the mountains. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment. It's alway nice to be able to gather in feedback from others.
You got me to play some more with this image. I ended up applying an unsharp mask and a contrast boost to the lower portion of the image. Check out the newer version of this image and let me know if you think it's an improvement. I actually do - thanks for the suggestion.
