Photo 3 - This is a composite image of a perspex prism, being lit from behind by an LCD monitor and with a polariser on my lens. The plastic is exhibiting a property called birefringence, making the colours diffract causing the crazy pattern.

This photograph is now available for purchase as a real, hard print. Your choice of framed or canvas print, thanks to Ph.Art Gallery. See my collection on the Ph.Art Gallery website here: http://www.photoartgallery.com/artist/seanlano

*Note: The resolution of this image has been reduced to 1500x1000 maximum. If you need a larger version I can provide up to 3130x2087. Contact me through this website, with just a brief explanation of why you need a larger version and in which way I will be attributed as original creator. I am happy to provide the full resolution version, but I would also like to protect my ownership of the image.
