Guardian redesigned profile

I notice the Guardian has severely restricted how we can now represent ourselves in our profiles. No live links and a profoundly limited word count. Boo.

Plus ... I see there's a page for "picked comments". I have none. I was "picked" once last year, but only momentarily and then I was unpicked :(

Still could be worse, at least most of my Guardian comments are still there. Unlike the BBC a few years back, who one day completely erased everything I'd ever written. It's tough enough getting comments accepted by the BBC's sodding moderators, so they were texts I'd made an extra effort with. Therefore it was particularly disheartening to discover them all wiped one day :(

But when it comes to old school control freakery, nobody beats Spiked. They don't have comments at all :)
