The processed shot for Episode 042 of Meet the Gimp. It is the view from Seefeld over the Jadebusen to Wilhelmshaven.
I applied curves and cloned two birds out with the healing tool.

It is a pity that the foreground is a totally black area. Maybe a little crop would help? The contrast of the soft red light and soft grey tones is wonderful. Also in this respect the black area is too harsh and does not fit whole mood of the picture.

BTW. I am using my lowfi laptop, so I may be wrong about the lack of detail in the foreground.

I am not very good at visualising images on the screen but I would love to see this with most of the foreground cropped away.

This was just a quick edit for the show - in 042 you can see the whole process. But you are both right, I'll redo it.
