Mürren, 12. August 1910:
One hundred years ago Eduard Spelterini was the first man who crossed the Alps in a balloon.

At 1 p.m. Spelterini sang the Torero's aria from Bizet's Carmen, opened a bottle of champagne and then lifted off.
(He always used to make this ceremony on his numerous balloon starts.) In his balloon "Sirius" he climbed up to
4000 m and crossed the Alps in direction of Torino. Six hours later his balloon landed at the versant of Monte Basso in Italy.

Back to "23" after 40 days of Quadragesima: It has been an excellent experience which I can recommend to anyone from time to time. I did miss "23" - and I did not.

During these days I decided to upload if possible only pictures which come from my heart and from my point of view. (I noticed that in the past months I took too many pictures only to share them here soon afterwards.) In order to train myself in this new method I switched off the "comments"-button for a while. I will certainly reopen it one day... :-)
