Then I desaturated the photo and mapped the palette to it (Colors -> Map -> Palette Map). Have a look at its original size. The thumbnail shows resizing artefacts.</p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0px;">As andrewagill pointed out in his video, its nice to see that JPEG cannot handle these pictures efficiently. Although I was after a monochrome look, I did want to keep in the bright colours of the spheres. Rolf remarked that the platform was too empty. Changing the crop was not possible so I took his advice and added an object.<br /> I did not want it to distract the eye, yet, it had to enhance the composition. Therefore, I choose a person made into a real passer-by by means of motion blur, transparency and a colour cast.
