The Dutch embassy in Copenhagen organised a party for the Dutch Queen's Birthday on a fregat of the Dutch Marine. Me and two other friends got a private tour by two Luitenant-Generaals. Here, I'm sitting in the Kapitein Luitenant's Cabin. A place where I wasn't supposed to be, which I realised even more after I heard this fregat was in the news months later with drugs and sexual abuse scandals...

I didn't get the entire tradition, but when Danish kids finish high school they wear these crazy hats and go into town with trucks and drink and go crazy in public for two weeks or so.
