stupid FF3. i haven't found any advantages so far, but disadvantages like not being able to browse last pages via the small arrow beneath the 'back' arrow...

and it crashes every now and then on fedora 9.

Alt + Left and Alt + Right should work on Linux, Backspace, however does not :(
