the color is from the fact that the sun is at very low angle + the fact that I am using built in flash while the flash barely hit the ant, accidentally it produces a dramatic background for my big ant... it's taken with a 35mm lens reversely stacked on a 85mm, all canon prime lens, the magnification goes beyond 2:1 with this set up
