Like the bookstore's deco. =) Interesting well, too, but the background building caught my eye first.... Nice capture!

Yes, not an easy spot to put a slender and busyly carved but not coloured anywhere dark redbrown marble sculpture. But there is a history to that the well. It is, dependant on the personal ideas of the beholder from 1701, 1738, 1868, 1911 or 1978. Anyway, in the last incarnation all of the replique of the repliques was made of the same and especially slow weathering material, in hopes there is all well with the well and it stays pretty for the next century. The early incarnation of the rough design had a wooden trough and beam with a porous shell-limestone madonna by a famous baroque carver added on top.
