This Utata is a small outpost of the main Utata group which you can find on Flickr here. Most of the Utata action takes place over on Flickr, but we've created this little Utata-23 for any stragglers who find themselves over here, lost in unfamiliar territory. And, of course, any native 23ers are more than welcome to join in.
This group isn't being actively tended in the same way that the Flickr group is, so things are likely to be pretty quiet. Please treat it with respect. Now here's a little blurb about Utata. This is largely copied straight from the Flickr group, with some minor edits where appropriate. Enjoy. Visit the Utata web site | New member? Read This! You Might Be Interested In...
We're all about doing things with our photography. We have a site, ongoing projects, swapping events and a lot of very interesting chatter about this thing we do. The best way to get to know the group is to jump right into the conversation – by participating in threads or starting a thread yourself! Who Should Join? Whoever is polite and interested. Notice polite is first. The Utata Pool: Post your best shots. The special shots you just want us to see, or that you're especially proud of. Diversity is the key to the Utata pool. The main Utata pool over on Flickr has a number of other rules attached to it. Given the much smaller size of this group, those rules don't currently apply to the 23 outpost. As the group grows, this policy will be reviewed. Right now, all we ask is that you are selective: choose just your best work, and don't flood the pool with many photos all at once. Note: While we all love naked people and people parts, this is an all-ages, all-sensibilities group with a fairly large public traffic. For this reason, we do not allow nudes in the pool. The Utata Group We're pretty wide ranging in terms of topics - we go from technical to silly - and it's all good provided you follow these rules: 1. Be polite (we mentioned that before, but it bears repeating). That means you use the rules your Mama taught you, please. We don't much like sugar coating, but we won't eat burning oil, either . The Utata Web Site: Our website, www.utata.org, is a group endeavor and it contains the work of people in this group. We publish a daily blog, feature articles, concept pieces, short essays, daily spotlights, and, of course, projects. See how you can contribute. Utata Tagging Projects If you wish to participate in Utata's tagging projects, you must currently do that over on Flickr. It is possible that 23 support may be added in the future. Only time will tell. Learn About: Requesting a Member Page Latest photosRecent conversations
