photosets.getPhotos scaling issue?

photosets.getPhotos has not implemented any of the paging stuff, so an innocent app working with a large album could really unintentionally soak up a lot of bandwidth.
Just FYI.
My app looks for "pages" and tries to step through a page at a time.

I assume that 23 limits the number of photos in the response to 500 per page (same as Flickr) so one hopes that an app might at most get this size of response. What we don't want is an app to request the photos in some big album and get 1000s of photos in the response.
More because I'm curious rather than need to know, what properties are support for "extras", or is "extras" supported at all?
