Is it a problem... looking at the picture? ;)

Just wondering, you might have had your reasons :) I'm sure you know that you're gonna hit diffraction at some point beyond f/8. But it certainly doesn't seem relevant for this photo :)

You are sure but... you are wrong, my Dear :) All these optic stuff are quite away of my mind in that minute, I'm taking photos. But this is good you mentioned it. Thank you!

I cannot see here a diffraction, rather I'm suffering I (still) have no polarization filter :(

There were at least two reasons: 1) it was late already and I was there to shoot some pictures from an exhibition (needed ISO 200); and 2) I like very much the sun rays my camera usually makes when the aperture is closed. :)

Don't worry, the photo is all good! ;) Just generally speaking, diffraction will just make images slightly more blurry from f/11 onwards. I try to never go beyond f/16 at which point the sun should have a decent star shape already. These are all rules of thumb from my personal experience with the Canon world, might be a little different for your camera.

What would a polarization filter do to this picture?

Maybe it will help some flares to stop messing around (I remove one with gimp) ;))
