It would be nice to have a feature that would allow one to edit a comment so that one could add, subtract, or change what was just written. I frequently have second thoughts about a comment and would like to change it instead of posting a new comment to correct it.

We are working on a upgrade to the Forums section, which will address this issue. Don't know if we'll be able to help you out with editing comments though.

on the other hand, it is inconvenient for other users, because, if they follow some comments, and suddenly somewhere up there someone has changed/updated sth, they have to be aware of that... might be they won't recognize.
though, this would work, if they have the option "mail me if.." activated..

I too would like to be able to edit my own comments, for typos and stuff. I like the way you access conversations though.

you can edit your comments. you just have to reload the page first, scroll down and click on the words of your comment.

Darn! Just went back to another page and the link is there! Maybe I should get glasses ... or maybe pay more attention. Thanks for the tip, though

it is a little confusing that you have to refresh to make it appear, but once you figure that out it is pretty easy to remember.
it's even better than flickr because you can edit the comment inline, and continue seeing all the other previous comments at the same time.

I'm starting to like 23 as I liked flickr back in 2005. Fighting the urge to go Plus, considering the humongous amount of photos I have at flickr.

well, the staff here have said they were working on a tool that will let us move all our photos from flickr over here automatically. so maybe that would make it easier to move.
you'd definitely need to go plus if that happened, since such a migration would require many uploads to 23, even if they were automated.

When it happens, it will probably be quite a lot of work. I know that I'll go Plus, it's just that, or going back to uploading to flickr

the idea is that when it happens it shouldn't be that much work. it should all be automated.
