Mostly MS Windows, due to my job.
Also, I haven't found a suitable way to run DPP (Canon sw for RAW format) in linux, nor I have found a suitable alternative.
If it weren't for that, I'd always use GNU/Linux.
Any roads, that's the great thing about The GIMP having been ported to different platforms...

Ubuntu/Linux, Rawtherapee and/or UFRaw.

Hi littletank
I think I remember a thread (some months ago) and you suggested me Rawtherapee.
Fact is that I've given it a try several times (and now as it has been opensourced I'd like to use it still more than before) but it is too slow with the huge Canon 50D files; and still I don't think it always gets the right colors. Same applies for UFRaw, but still worse as I haven't figured a way to have a 100% view of the pictures.
OTOH I have also tried to run DPP in Linux through wine, with partial success.
All in all, I'm not completely happy with any alternative, which is an issue as I'm locked to Windows when it comes to edit RAW.
Cheers

@jaime: How big are the RAW files that you get from the Canon 50D? I suppose you have asked in lots of places and still not been able to get an answer which satisfies you.

The Meet the GIMPServer gets hit by 54% Windows, 35% Linux and 7% Mac systems. And there is one Wii!

@littletank: about 20Mb each, more or less.
The feeling when working with the is... that it is too slow. Maybe with smaller files the feeling is exponentially better, dunno.
OTOH, I should have said that my workflow with jpegs is Gimp-based of course. This part is better done in Linuxland, of course. Anyways, due to my job I'm always using windows.
@Rolf: 35% Linux is not bad at all! I'm impressed, as my feeling is that many Gimp users are using Windows... 35%, not bad :-)

@littletank:
First of all, I must 'fess up my laziness. I had last tried RawTherapee 2.4.1, which was slow for my 50D files.
Yesterday, after having given it a thought, I decided to try the files for my 1D3. These files are way smaller, often about 10Mb less.
The behavior of RT with these files was much better. The color rendering better, the loading speed better too. I started to feel a bit excited as these days 1D has become my 1st choice cam.
But then, I decided to download the latest version of RT... 3.0 alpha1.
And I've started to feel very comfortable with it. The user experience has improved, the colors are quite nice (I'm still testing and experimenting; for instance I'm not completely convinced when it comes to high ISO dim light pictures), and the speed of loading and applying changes has improved dramatically.
All in all, I'm thinking of giving a good 2nd chance to it, I feel happy I don't need Windowsland anymore.
Well, I still will be needing it because of my job, I can always try to convince my bosses that php/python/java are more convenient for the company than MS .Net :-P
PS: I'm planning of revisiting UFRaw as well.

@ Steffen Tiedemann Christensen and
@ Rolf Steinort
that's I wanted to hear. :-)
But all is interesting.
I hope so, that the GIMP will support Mac OS in the same condition as Win or Linux, because 7 to 11% is not enough.
@Jaime
the topic of this discussion is for Mac Users
:-)
