Insects everywhere.
Eight-spotted Skimmer (female/immature). I thought Twelve-spotted but a local expert tells me the wingtip markings are missing, plus we're outside of their range. I have more pictures if anyone is interested, but this is the best (it was windy).

Thanks Anna, I thought it was good enough to get an ID at least.

I'm pretty sure it's a female, either a Common Whitetail (Long-tailed Skimmer) or else a Twelve-Spotted Skimmer.

I will have another stab at exposing to see if there are twelve spots.

I do not know what a dragonfly that. But it's a great photo.
